This is just another Hoax...
Origins: This item about the drunk-driving death of actor Ben Savage, best known for his portrayal of adolescent Cory Matthews in the TV series Boy Meets World (and younger brother of Fred Savage, star of the nostalgic TV series The Wonder Years) appears to be yet another Internet-spread celebrity death hoax.
Although this blurb claims Ben Savage died on 16 September 2006, there has been no public announcement or media mention of his having passed away or been involved in an accident.

According to IMDB message board he was on the 50 cutest child stars all grown up in 2005, pretty good chance he's alive. Also his website says he is going to be in an upcoming movie

There have been rumors, most notably on Wikipedia, that he has died. However, there has been no news of this anywhere else.

Bennett Joseph Savage (September 13, 1980-September 16, 2006) was an American actor.
Savage was born in Chicago, Illinois of Jewish heritage, to parents Lewis and Joanne Savage. He is the younger brother of Fred Savage, who starred in the hit series The Wonder Years.
Savage is best known for his role as lead character Cory Matthews on the TV sitcom Boy Meets World from 1993 to 2000. He graduated from Stanford University in 2004 with a degree in Political Science and as a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
His brother Fred appeared alongside him in one episode of Boy Meets World as well as in the film Little Monsters.
He made a cameo appearance as himself in an episode of the Disney Channel original series Phil of the Future.
Savage is good friends with his former Boy Meets World co-stars Matthew Lawrence, Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong.
Savage was driving intoxicated and crashed his automobile. He went into a coma and never awoke. He died on September 16, 2006.

Let's think about it here people. Remember the Kel Mitchell rumor? Yeah, well there was no announcement on any certified news channel. I think these rumors are getting way out of hand.
